England Hockey Awards 2025

We were delighted to be the official sponsor of the highly anticipated England Hockey Awards once again this year, held on 7th June 2025 at the Athena in Leicester.

The event celebrated the exceptional achievements of athletes, coaches, officials, and volunteers in the hockey community. As the headline sponsor, we demonstrated our commitment to supporting the growth and development of hockey in England.

Our Managing Director, Duncan Bennett, said, "We are proud to be sponsoring this year's England Hockey Awards in our 12th year of working alongside England and Great Britain Hockey. Whether they work with us or not, we know and appreciate that the Clubs are the heartbeat of this fantastic sport. So we are hugely proud to be the lead sponsors of the England Hockey Club Awards this evening.

Without the support and hard work of the members, players and volunteers at Clubs nationwide, most of the delivered pitch projects wouldn't happen."

Among the awards presented during the evening was the highly prestigious Club of the Year. We are proud to sponsor this category, with the accolade awarded to Durham City Hockey Club.

Building on the momentum of last year's Club of the Year shortlisting, Durham City Hockey Club has enjoyed another transformative year. They have embraced change this year, taking over the city's junior section from Durham University. This initiative now supports over 220 young players and led to the formation of a new Junior Committee, further strengthening their player development pathway.

This year also saw the club make strides in inclusion and sustainability. They appointed their first Sustainability Officer, launched a Flyerz hockey programme, and began research into wheelchair use on artificial pitches. From beginner sessions to introducing hockey in schools, their outreach has grown significantly—culminating in their summer hockey festival becoming the largest in the North. As a result of these efforts, club membership has increased by 20%, allowing them to launch 4th teams for both Men and Women.

We extend our warmest congratulations to Durham City Hockey Club for their exceptional achievements, innovation, and commitment to growing the game. Their impact, both on and off the pitch, sets a benchmark for what great club culture and leadership can look like.

Our continued partnership with England Hockey reflects our shared mission: to support and celebrate those at the heart of the sport. By investing in clubs and delivering high-quality playing surfaces, we're proud to help create the foundations for the future success and enjoyment of hockey nationwide.
