ShockWave Platinum & ECOBASE system
ShockWave Platinum is “not just a shockpad”. It reduces the base construction requirements and eliminates the need for separate macadam and shockpad layers.
FIFA and World Rugby compliant systems require 5kg of performance infill so using ShockWave halves the amount of microplastics needed when using SBR Rubber Crumb.
Using a non-SBR infill reduces the amount of performance infill therefore reducing costs to the customer which is a key consideration as there is impending environmental restrictions affecting the current use of SBR rubber as a performance infill in AGPs. In terms of player experience, there is no system that competes with ShockWave for player safety. The system offers over 2.2m Critical Fall Height when tested to the requirements for World Rugby Reg 22. In addition to the head to turf impact safety, the system is not “soft” underfoot so provides a shock absorbent but firm player interaction with a high-quality turf.
The independent World Rugby accredited test house, noted that no other system offers the combination of performance criteria across shock absorbency, critical fall height and vertical deformation.
