Case Study: Stoke D'Abernon Cricket Club, surrey

Stoke d'Abernon Cricket Club, located in Cobham, Surrey, has a rich cricketing heritage dating back to the 1870s. The Club recognised the need to upgrade its training facilities to enhance player development and performance. As part of this vision, they approached Notts Sport South, Slatter Cricket & Play, having worked with them previously, to install new practice nets to cater to the growing needs of their members.

Two double-lane practice cricket nets featuring an ECB-approved Notts Sport NGU NottsBase system with two-tone surrounds were installed.

The appeal of the NGU NottsBase System is the narrower range of playing characteristics in relation to bounce and pace, making it an ideal pitch for encouraging player confidence during coaching.

Victoria Cheeseman, Chair of the Club, said, "The experience of working with Alex and his team at Slatters Cricket & Play was professional and of a very high standard. The project was extremely well managed from start to finish, and we had no concerns whatsoever. Alex and his team have a wealth of experience, and this is very reassuring. The Club is extremely pleased with the quality of the finished nets, the surfaces and the overall look of the training facility. We look forward to continue using Slatters Cricket & Play for any further work and would highly recommend them."

The new practice nets at Stoke d'Abernon Cricket Club have improved the Club's training capacity. The nets are now a key part of the Club's efforts to nurture talent and improve player skills for all levels of cricketers.
