New Heat Testing Confirms CocoTurf Keeps Playgrounds Cooler

In a comprehensive heat assessment conducted by Sports Labs Ltd following FIFA Test Method 14, CocoTurf infilled with sand achieved the lowest surface temperature of all six surface types tested, reaching just 52.4 °C (Category 1–2). This is significantly cooler compared to conventional artificial turf infilled with sand and SBR, which recorded the highest temperature of 69.8 °C (Category 3).
For architects and designers, these findings demonstrate the tangible benefits of specifying CocoTurf for playgrounds, sports pitches, and multi-use games areas, especially in heat-sensitive outdoor environments.
